Favorite System: D&D 5th Edition
The focus of Daniel's 20 year career has been to bring education and affordable housing opportunities to as many people as possible, while also thriving in his day job as a leader in the banking industry. However he is now setting his sites on his other passion, which is bringing the magic and camaraderie of collaborative storytelling to the world. Since 1993, Daniel's passion for storytelling and gaming has taken many forms, however there has always been a focus on bringing people together. Watching a diverse group of minds working to solve a problem, or navigate a difficult social interaction, in the safety of a virtual world, is such a rewarding and fulfilling experience, that he built a business to bring these experiences to as many people as possible.

Julian hasn’t stopped running games since he received his first D&D book in the 5th grade and got yelled at by a teacher for “reading during recess.” He is now a professional writer, game designer, and graphic designer who has played dozens of RPGs over the years. Still, D&D has always remained a constant love. So much so, that many themes and methodologies that he incorporated into Storm Hollow, came from his years of storytelling with D&D. When running games, Julian tries to keep everyone feeling safe, engaged, and having fun with a “Yes and…” approach to player ideas. He wants to ensure that everyone at the table gets their moment to shine, and that no one feels trampled over or forgotten. Everyone has fun and everyone goes home with a story to tell.

Goofy actor and eternal nerd. An oversimplified, but accurate, description of Hunter Briggs. Hunter has been doing character work ever since he could string his first sentence together... and that was almost 4 decades ago. Fantasy and D&D were second nature in his home of medieval enthusiasts, as was the idea of playing roles and giving them silly voices. This has led him to professional work in film, theater, radio, podcasting, and his greatest strength, improv. When your players are wild, random, or just too clever, it's good to have a storyteller that can adapt on the fly. That's this guy.

As a high school social studies teacher, Geoff's love for storytelling and gaming has always been an integral part of his life. However, when he discovered the world of role-playing games, it was as if a whole new universe unfolded before his eyes, or really, in his mind! From sneaking away during lunch breaks in his high school to indulge in games like Star Wars and Magic the Gathering, to his chance encounter with Daniel, who introduced him to the captivating realm of Dungeons and Dragons, his destiny was forever sealed. Now, alongside Daniel and Ivy Tower, he is beyond excited to share his passion by creating thrilling and inclusive D&D experiences for all.
"Hey Daniel, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the effect that ivy tower had on our household. [He] brought home an entirely new attitude. He got his siblings role playing non-stop. Everyone has a smile on their face and we've experienced a drastic improvement in Discipline, attitude, and over all well being in our household. Thank you so much!"

"Our ten year old daughter is attending the D&D summer camps and absolutely LOVES it, so much that she now dislikes the weekends because she can't attend. We are very impressed with Daniel and his team's ability to create a fun and inclusive space for such a wide range of kids and teens. We already signed her up for all of the remaining weeks of the camp!"
"[she] suffers from extreme social anxiety and her therapist suspects possible autism spectrum issues. She loves reading, writing, drawing and is gifted in those areas. Up until last year she couldn't even go into a grocery store or look a stranger in the eye. D&D is one of the few things we found that she will even try to participate in, so we are trying to find ways for her to keep at it. I know it may not seem like she is enjoying herself but trust me she comes home raving about how much she loves it and can't wait to go back. We have been trying for ages to find a way for [her and her brother] to join a campaign, so appreciate the important work you are doing. I love that uses raw imagination and gets them away from screens."

"Thank you so much for the awesome session today! Also appreciate you allowing the extra time to wrap up the combat and the story! You're a great DM and we will keep you in mind for future sessions"
"That is so wonderful Daniel. What you are doing is invaluable. I am so glad we found you and hope that we can continue in the fall. [He] is also ND, he has a very intense form of ADHD."

"[He] is able to mask/ blend in pretty well most of the time. This is his first camp since before the pandemic. He didn't feel safe to go until recently, and has been wearing a mask in public until just about a month ago. Even after he was fully vaccinated he just wasn't ready to be around groups and had/has anxiety that shows up as breaking out in a cold sweat. [He] really likes the camp so far and is excited to tell us all about it when we pick him up. Thank you for creating a space for kids to enjoy imaginative play."
